Metal expansion joints( also called compensators) are compensating elements for thermal expansion and relative movement in channels, holders, and machines. They correspond to one or further metal bellows, connectors at both ends, and tie rods that depend on the operation. They're different according to the three introductory types of movement axial, angular and side expansion joints. Expansion joints have applications in varied sectors, like energy products, paper industry, chemical industry, water treatment, oil, and gas. In every place where live channels and occurs thermal movements or vibration, also expansion joints can be used.
Expansion Joints are a bellows-type device. Expansion joints are used to absorb thermal expansion. They can also be used to absorb compression in cryogenic lines and to reduce vibration in pipeline systems. Materials of construction for the bellows can be stainless steel or rubber or even a compound material.
